About this service
A dental implant has two parts: the titanium post that sits in the jawbone, and the restoration on top of it, the crown that looks and works like a tooth. Dr. Younesi restores dental implants. She does not place them. When an implant is the right way to replace a missing tooth, we refer you to a surgical specialist, such as an oral surgeon or periodontist, to place the post, and we coordinate with that office from planning through your final crown. Once the implant has integrated with the bone, you come back to us and we design, fit, and place a custom ceramic crown shaded to blend with the teeth around it. Not everyone is a candidate for an implant: bone volume, gum health, smoking, and your medical history all factor in, and some sites need grafting before placement. An implant also needs the same daily care and regular hygiene visits as a natural tooth. We start by evaluating whether an implant is genuinely the right choice for you, and we will say so if it is not.

Evaluation & Options
We examine the site, review your health history, and talk through every way to replace the tooth, including a bridge, so you can decide whether an implant makes sense for you.

Referral for Placement
If you choose an implant, we refer you to a surgical specialist who places the implant post and handles any bone grafting the site needs.

Healing & Integration
Over the following months the bone fuses to the implant surface, a process called osseointegration. How long that takes depends on the site and on whether grafting was needed.

Impressions & Design
Once the implant is ready to restore, we take precise impressions and have your crown made by a dental laboratory to match the shape and shade of your neighboring teeth.

Final Crown
We fit the crown, check your bite and contacts, and secure it in place. From then on, the implant is checked at your regular hygiene visits.
