Tooth-Colored Fillings

Mercury-free composite fillings that restore decayed teeth with a discreet, biocompatible finish.

About this service

We use exclusively tooth-colored composite resin for fillings, no silver amalgam. Composite bonds chemically to the tooth, requires less drilling, and finishes invisibly. We isolate the tooth with a rubber dam during placement so the bond stays clean, dry, and durable.

Tooth-Colored Fillings is one of the restorative services we provide at our Corona Del Mar dental practice. Patients travel from Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Costa Mesa, Balboa Island, and Irvine because Dr. Younesi takes the time to listen, evaluate, and explain every option before treatment begins. Fillings FAQs

Common questions about fillings.

Don’t see your question? Call us at (949) 409-9895 and we will get you a clear answer.

Should I replace my old silver fillings?
Not always. We replace amalgams when there are signs of cracking, leakage, or recurrent decay underneath, or when a patient prefers a more biocompatible material. We never replace healthy fillings just for cosmetics.
